Did you know WD-40 stands for Water Displacement, 40th Formula? It took Norman Larsen 40 attempts to perfect this very successful product! High school football players are recruited by the measure of their athleticism, by how fast they can run the 40 yard dash. It takes about 40 weeks for a baby to fully develop in the womb?
You may be familiar with the bible story of the Israelites who murmured and complained, even after they were miraculously delivered out of slavery in Egypt, whom wandered 40 years in the wilderness, traveling in circles, for a journey that was only supposed to be an 11 day trip.
There's 1440 minutes in a day; how are you spending those minutes, are they productive and purposeful?
As of today, November 22, 2016, we have 40 MORE DAYS until the New Year. What projects have you been meaning to get accomplished for this year and have not done so yet?
I challenge you to take 40 MINUTES out of the day for the next 40 DAYS to work on achieving your goals in different areas, whatever is most important to you! Perhaps there is a DIY project at your house you need to start/finish or you just want to use your creative skills to create art projects. You can create your own online store on Etsy and advertise onPinterest!
How is your health situation? Do you need to step up your exercise program? Improve your endurance and strength by going to the gym, walking/jogging outside, or train in a fun race like The Color Run. Exercise doesn’t always mean the gym; you can enjoy a fun game of tennis, biking with your family, swimming in the lake or ocean, or hiking at your local state park.
Maybe you just need to spend the next 40 days concentrating on quality time with your friends, family or spending more time with God and nature!
The usual excuse why we don’t exercise, can’t start/finish our projects, or have time to start our own part time business is TIME! Yes, I’m guilty! That has been my excuse periodically. Here are a couple tips I have found helpful.
You can split that project/starting your business into two 20 minute sessions, 20 minutes in the morning, 20 minutes later in the day. (Marketing, making phone calls, research, emails, blogging.)
You can trick your brain into saying I’m only going to do 20-30 minutes of cardio, then 10-20 minutes of weights/stretching but if you are like me you are enjoying your time in the gym and end up spending at least one hour working out!
